Okay those of you that love to make flowers here is another tutorial. I really hope you all show me what you created with these tutorials. I would love for you to share how you use these to embellish your projects, cards, tags or layouts. Supplies Needed:
Sizzix Die (Flower Layers #3)
2 – Old Book Pages
ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink (Creamy Brown)
Maya Mists (Iridescent Pearl, Silver Metallic)
Platinum Stickles
1 – Large Pearl Cabochon or Button
Studio 490 Wendy Vecchi Funky Flower Art Leaf Stamp
Cream Felt
Embroidery Floss (DMC #543)
Tools Needed:
Sewing Needle
Fabri-Tac
Liquid Glue
Martha Stewart Seal Punch
Instructions:
- Cut 2 flowers of each design from an old book page
- Using ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink (Creamy Brown), ink the edges of each flower. After you are finished inking the flowers crumple each one in your hand and straighten out just a bit. This will help create dimension to your flower. Place flowers in a newspaper lined box or line your kitchen sink with paper towels. Using Maya Mist Iridescent Pearl lightly mist each flower, let dry slightly, now using Maya Mist Sparkling Silver lightly mist each flower once again, let dry. Once the flowers are dry accent the edges of each one using Platinum Stickles, let dry
- Using a liquid glue attach each flower layer on top of each other as desired
- Using the Martha Stewart Seal Punch, punch a seal out of an old Book Page and attach to the back of the flower using. (This will give the Large Pearl Cabochon something to attach to.)
- Using a strong liquid glue attach a Large Pearl Cabochon to the center of your layered flower. (If you do not have a large pearl you can substitute this with a large button, gem or rhinestone)
- Using ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink (Creamy Brown) lightly stamp leaf image onto cream felt and hand stitch image
- Using Fabri-Tac, attach leaf to the back of your Layered Flower

Oh I love this one too! I just need to come up with an alternative to the sizzix flower as I haven’t been able to locate one in Australia yet :-( I am printing out the tutorials though so I am ready to go when I do get one or think of an alternative. Thanks Lisa & have a lovely Mothers Day!
