Ever wonder how I work…

Mar 12, 2009

well I work best in small tight areas as you can see from this photo. This workspace is about 10 x 6 and I mean inches not feet. I made a project today in this teeny tiny space. Tomorrow I hope to work in at least a 12 x 12 inch space.

To the right of this tight little space is this big mess but you can see some of my favorite embellishments and accents for projects… Stickles, Pearls, Scallop Ric Rac, Fiskars Tools, Cream Embroidery Floss, Tim Holtz Distressing Tool (seriously the best out there), Plastic Spoon for Glittering, Aleene’s Paper Glaze, Collage Pauge, Old Book Page etc. Wish I could show you the project I made using these items… I guess you will have to wait until Oh mid February of next year.

some of my favorite things

To the left of me is this pile of papers, trims, felt, tag templates and other stuff.

Then oh my… behind me is this table full of stuff… I should be so ashamed but right now this is my reality so you might as well see it. Lets see… I have my Copic Markers, some Jenni Bowlin, Sizzix Die, Red Office Tag from Kenner Road, Maya Road Heart Shaped Box, Felt still in the package from the photo shoot in OH, Twine, tools, pens, Stickles, and other odds and ends. Oh and my cell phone… can’t take a chance on missing a phone call. I’m surprised it didn’t end up getting buried under something.

Oh my...

As you know I am in super crunch time with my book deadline so I just create and stack, create and stack… Saturday is not going to be a  fun clean up day but I fear if I don’t I will never get my workspace clean. There is hope.

I have been putting together my Hippity Hop Easter Workshop in between book projects so be on the look out for this to post soon. This workshop will include 7 projects and the price is only $9.95. It will include templates to reproduce some projects, supply lists, color photos and step by step instructions. It’s gonna be fun and I hope to see you there.

That’s clean, did you check out my blog last week or so??????? And you might want to lay those copics down on their side not standing up.

Count me in! I bought all the stuff to “replicate” the Valentine’s workshop for St. Pat’s but ran out of time!

Oh great-it’s not just me! I took some pictures of my studio when it was nice and clean in January. When I miss that look I just pull up the pictures on my computer and admire them. When I’m working on things-I end up with a little tiny workspace, too. Can’t wait for the Easter Workshop Lisa.…and the book, whenever that is. Happy cleaning on Saturday-I’ll be at the flea market.

Isnt’ this how all of us work?? I just set up 3 tables, and of course, we use one for die cuts, and the rest of our 2x2 space is all covered up with everything… Then like you… all the bits and pieces and leftovers have to be cleaned up and put away.. just to start all over again!!

Oh, how I love to see that it´s not just me who works best on a overcrowded table/room. But how I wish that I could be less messy and more organized;)
