The Crafty Scrapper is located on the historic town square of Waxahachie and is nestled among lots of quaint shops so after you finish shopping at The Crafty Scrapper you can spend several additional hours shopping and eating at “The Dove’s Nest Restaurant.”
So here is what I created and I think I am in love! Tomorrow I am going with Caroline to help her teach a class at “The Crafty Scrapper”. Caroline will be teaching her adorable altered house class with a mini album tucked inside.
I’m done kitting all 5 classes. That was a job but everything is finally sorted, cut, packaged and boxed ready to ship to Lasting Memories. lots of Maya Road, new Scenic Route and Dream Street Papers as well as Daisy D’s.
If you need a jump start on some Spring projects Angie at ScrapScene has put together the cutest e-book. She has created 10 projects with easy to follow step by step instructions as well color photos, templates, sketches and a list of tools needed for each project.
“Bird Nest Cupcakes” are now on the table. It never quite feels like Easter without some bird nest cupcakes. All you need is a cake mix, white icing, flaked coconut, green food coloring and jelly beans.
I am going to miss them when they are gone although I have a feeling these will be the very ones that eat up all my spring blooms. I have a feeling we are going to have a love hate relationship from here on out.
At the moment, I understand why Beatrix Potter loved drawing and creating stories of these adorable little things but I have a feeling I will feel like Mister McGregor in a few months when they start eating all my flowers.
Here is the last layout I will be teaching at Lasting Memories. This will be in the 2 – 12 x 12 layout class along with the “Two Sisters” layout. It’s those little added touches that make your projects and layouts so special.
But something tells me with one class Friday night, three classes Saturday and one class Sunday morning I’m going to be a bit crunched for time. Anyway, here is a sneak peek of one layout I created this weekend for the 2 – 12 x 12 layout class I will teach on Saturday.
This is a sneak peek of my 4th class at Lasting Memories. In this class those that attend will make an adorable whimsical home using templates I created as well as decorative scissors, buttons and embroidery floss.
As I sat waiting for Ansley to get out of school my car was completely covered in snow. Notice there are no photos of kids building snowmen, making snow angels, having snowball fights etc. I love photos of kids playing in the snow.
Here is a sneak peek of another class I will be teaching at Lasting Memories. This “Family” class is full of techniques that can be incorporated into future projects and layouts. Okay I am off to work on my layout classes.
Sometimes I would get lucky and find a nice looking Sketchy doll but no easel. Below are some photos of me getting ready to open my Sketchy Doll on Christmas Eve and holding my Sketchy Doll Christmas Day.
My second book, “Delight In The Seasons,” was published in January of 2012. My third technique-based book, “Delight In The Art of Collage”, is scheduled for publication in January 2014 by North Light Books/F+W Media Inc .
