Need a quick and inexpensive gift…

Oct 27, 2007

Here is a project for you. To spiffy up this old votive candle holder all I did was apply some of the new Maya Road “Flower Me” rubons all around the outside of this candle holder. This took me less than 5 min. I placed the sheet of rubons onto my paper cutter horizontally then cut 2 strips 1.75″ wide, wrapped one strip of rubons around the candle holder and applied the rubons, wrapped the second strip of rubons around the candle holder and applied… Bam, I was finished.

To make sure the rubons are protected I would spray the entire outside of the candle holder with a thin layer of clear varnish or something like it. I can see several of these in a cluster along a mantel, end table etc. You can accent several votive candle holders with one sheet of rubons.

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.
