Maya Road Sneak Peek… #2

Jul 11, 2007

I love this new binder… it is such a fun size to work with and I think you will like it as well. I filled this one with photos of my mom making her yearly fig jam as well as recipes that came from her mom. My grandmother was the best cook ever! We would spend two weeks every summer in Salem, West Virginia. These weeks were filled with fresh veggies and strawberries, from Grammy’s garden as well as homemade bread, jellies, sugar cookies etc… I had a guaranteed extra 10 pounds on my body when I got home. I sure miss those summers. Seeing my Aunts and Uncles, running up and downhills and dirt roads with my cousins and my brother and I playing in Grampa’s barn till sundown (or until I heard something and got spooked then I was out of there) was so much fun. Catching fire flies and helping my brother get fishing worms at night.… (note my help was pointing to them from on top of Grammy’s picnic table) are childhood memories I think everyone should have. I am one of the lucky ones that is for sure. Well here is my album… I hope you like it.
